DAY 9 Speaking Challenge- the TIP
By now I’m sure you’ve heard me say… For my coaching program it’s - “Make A Play - You have 24 Hours… playmakers make a play - Playmakers are action takers When I speak it’s - you can Fly - What if you fail, oh but what if you fly That’s what DAY 9 – THE FINAL T: TIP is all about Because by now you’ve already touched hearts. You’ve taught a clear principle. You’ve tossed a call to action. You’ve topped it off with emotion. Now it’s time to leave them with something they’ll carry. 👉 TIP is your brandable exit line. It’s the final sentence people remember, repeat, and associate with you. Think of TIP as: • Your mic-drop moment • Your signature saying • The line they quote when you’re gone Great speakers don’t just end talks; they leave language behind. WHAT MAKES A STRONG TIP: ✔️ Short (1 sentence) ✔️ Clear (no explanation needed) ✔️ Repeatable (easy to say out loud) ✔️ Aligned with your message and mission If people can repeat it, they can remember it. If they remember it, they remember you. 🎯 TODAY’S FINAL CHALLENGE: In the comments, share ONE TIP you’d exit the stage with. Examples: • “Don’t wait for permission—make the play.” • “Delay doesn’t deny destiny.” • “What you practice privately shows up publicly.” Make it YOU. Make it memorable. Make it something you could say every time you speak. Because when the lights go down and the room clears… your TIP keeps talking. ✈️🔥 Well done for flying through the full 5T FLY Talk Framework. Now go use it.

This video was posted in another speakers group I’m in and I know the value of “it’s not always what you say but it’s who says it”, and thought maybe instead of only hearing this from me you could also hear it from someone else… I don’t know either of them personally, … yet 😜 Listen to this, take some notes, gather similarities and differences between what we teach and I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments

Thank you Dwight, I will give it a listen!
DAY 8 Speaking Challenge - Top it Off
🔥 DAY 8 – THE 4th T: TOP IT OFF 🔥 You’ve touched hearts. You’ve taught a clear principle. You’ve tossed a call to action. Now it’s time to TOP IT OFF. Top It Off is your emotional close. It’s how you leave people feeling something they won’t forget. Facts inform. Frameworks equip. But emotion is what seals the moment. Top It Off is not: ❌ A recap of everything you said ❌ A rushed ending ❌ “In conclusion…” energy 😅 Top It Off is: ✔️ A short story ✔️ A powerful quote ✔️ A visual or metaphor ✔️ A moment that lingers It answers one question: “What do I want them to feel as they leave?” HOW TO TOP IT OFF WELL: Your close should: • Echo your opening (bring it full circle) • Reinforce the core message • Stir emotion—hope, courage, urgency, belief Think of it as the last note of a song. If it’s strong, people carry it with them. 🎯 TODAY’S CHALLENGE: MAKE A PLAY In the comments, share how you would TOP IT OFF. Choose ONE: • A short closing story • A quote you’d end with • A visual/metaphor you’d leave them imagining Keep it brief—but meaningful. Remember: People may forget what you said… but they’ll remember how you made them feel. Tomorrow, we land the plane ✈️🔥

Another powerful nugget @Dwight Riddick Dwight, thank you. I was always searching for a good story but never really thought of one so gave up. But you have inspired me to revisit this or use a quote instead.

DAY 7 Speaking Challenge – THE 3rd T: TOSS
🔥 DAY 7 – THE 3rd T: TOSS 🔥 (MLK Jr. Day Edition) You’ve touched hearts. You’ve taught a clear principle. Now comes the moment that separates good speakers from transformational ones… 👉 TOSS. TOSS is your call to action. It’s the moment you invite the audience to do something with what they just felt and learned. Here’s the truth: Inspiration without action expires quickly. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. understood this deeply. He didn’t just inspire people with a dream, he called them to act. One of his most challenging statements was essentially a TOSS: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” That question demanded movement, not applause. HOW TO TOSS EFFECTIVELY: A strong TOSS should be: ✔️ Clear (no confusion) ✔️ Specific (not vague) ✔️ Timely (right now, not someday) ✔️ Aligned with what you just taught Think of it this way: You’re not pushing people, you’re inviting them. 🎯 TODAY’S CHALLENGE, MAKE A PLAY: In the comments, write ONE strong TOSS connected to your message. Use this format: • Because of what you just learned… • I invite you to… (one clear action) • Starting when? (today, this week, right now) Examples: - “Today, I challenge you to start the conversation you’ve been avoiding.” - “Before this week ends, take one step toward the vision you wrote down.” Remember: Dr. King didn’t just share a dream. He tossed responsibility to the listener. That’s what great speakers do. Let’s honor the legacy today by not just speaking well, but calling people forward. ✈️🔥

Today, I challenge you to trust your gut feeling (now you know that overthinking a decision you first made from your gut would weaken self-trust).

@Dwight Riddick thank you Dwight, you have a great point. I will have a little think on how to quantify this
