Transitioning to another PC and Quirks

Hello, all!

I have been away from this forum and mixing in particular for various reasons. one of them was moving my music related files, programs and plugins to a new PC.

While most of this was easier than I thought, some quirks popped up.

1: Downloading installation files. Should all these files be in a specific folder. If yes, where: on OS, E (SSD) or D (regular drive)?

2: Extracting files: same as above?

3: Product Portals: s.a.?

4: VST3: should those files be in the same folder as the DAW (Studio One)?

5: DAW: on OS, E or D?

I should say that right now everything works, but the files seem to be all over the place and I don't really favour that, but does it really matter?

Next, and this is really bothering me:

I have a few unfinished pieces and I use NEUTRON ELEMENTS with these songs.

As it is, I am unable to install this EQ on the new PC. It does not even show up in the IZOTOPE Product Portal. I spent weeks with them to have this fixed. (I downloaded this plugin from Presonus a long time ago, when it was part of a Studio one offer) You may say: just use a different EQ, and I probably will. But it is the principle of not being able to retrieve the plugins that are mine, plus the headaches of communicating with IZOTOPE, who don't offer a real solution at this time.

Now that they combined with NATIVE INSTRUMENTS , logging in has also become a major issue. I had to redo passwords for no apparent reason. I purchased OZON 10 from NI. While it is visible in their Product Portal, it does not show on IZOTOPE'S. It seems like a problem right now since they are busy transitioning.

So I am wondering if you encountered similar issues and what do you suggest I should do in terms of file storing?
