Reference Tracks
Hello. I downloaded a "Reference track" and was attempting to compare it with another track "working track" so that I could learn how to use the PAZ Analyzer. What I found was that the reference track appeared to be clipping in the red, and I immediately considered reducing the gain. Then it dawned on me, if I reduce the gain on the reference track, doesn't that defeat the purpose when the context is comparing for leveling the sound for loudness? Is it ok to reduce volume on a reference track, and then bring the working track to the same levels? Thanks in advance!
