My Journey to Freelancing ā Finally on the Right Path š
My journey began in 2010 with automobile engineering, followed by years working in Saudi Arabia ā growing from 4,000 to 8,000 riyals a month. It was stable, but not fulfilling. Even back in high school, I had a natural passion for digital skills. I was the go-to person for PowerPoint in my class, and over the years I used it professionally for meetings, project reviews, sales pitch decks, and much more. It became one of my strongest tools. When I first heard about freelancing ā Fiverr, Upwork ā around 2019, just before COVID, I was curious but lost. I didn't know what to offer. So I invested in myself. I subscribed to Skillshare & BYOL, learned advanced PowerPoint techniques, basics of UI/UX design, Figma, Photoshop, and illustrator. In 2024, I made a bold decision ā I left Saudi Arabia to return to India, focus on my family, my health, and build something of my own. I tried local jobs, explored business, even co-founded a fast food brand called SHAWIRMO (new/growing)ā but nothing clicked as i wanted. last year I got $20 dollar client on fiverr, then nothing (my profile: https://www.fiverr.com/s/bd6a8eX) Still struggling to figure out my niche. Then I discovered *Harun Khalil* on Instagram and joined Media Valley School ā and for the first time, I feel I'm exactly where I need to be. I'm confident that in 2026, I will match what I was earning before (>SAR 8K) ā but this time, on my own terms. šŖ Inshallah, the best is yet to come! š _Note: Used Claude for speech to text and spelling/grammar correction_
