When One Sentence Changed My Days
I learned something new today and wanted to share it:
If your mood or day gets thrown off by someone’s praise or insult, it means you’re still mentally dependent on others.
Two days ago, I heard something that broke my heart. I went quiet and kept wanting to cry, even though I thought I was mentally free from everything. Now I realize I wasn’t maybe because the words came from someone I didn’t expect, and that’s why they hurt so much. Those two days were spoiled by just one sentence.
Today I watched a video that explained this as a form of dependency, and I want to free myself from it. This is my new goal.
Also, I learned something new about myself, and I think I’ll now focus on it because unless we know the problem, how can we come up with a solution?
