The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Every good deed of the son of Adam is multiplied: a good deed receives ten times its like, up to seven hundred times. Allah said: ‘Except for fasting, for it is for Me, and I will reward it. He gives up his desires and his food for My sake.’ The fasting person has two moments of joy: one when he breaks his fast and one when he meets his Lord. And the smell coming from the mouth of a fasting person is better with Allah than the smell of musk.”(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
Lesson:
Fasting is a unique act of worship because its reward is directly attributed to Allah. It teaches sincerity, self-control, and patience, and its spiritual value goes far beyond physical hunger.
