The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:“Time has returned to its original state as it was the day Allah created the heavens and the earth. The year is twelve months, of which four are sacred: three consecutive months , Dhul-Qa‘dah, Dhul-Hijjah, and Muharram and Rajab of Mudar, which comes between Jumada and Shaban.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 4662, Sahih Muslim 1679) Explanation : This Hadith clearly establishes Rajab as one of the four sacred months chosen by Allah.
