Hadith Sharif
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A person keeps speaking the truth and striving to be truthful until he is recorded with Allah as a truthful person. Lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. A person keeps telling lies until he is recorded with Allah as a liar.”
Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim
Short Explanation
This Hadith teaches that truthfulness builds a pure character and brings a person closer to Paradise. When someone keeps speaking the truth, Allah honors them as truly truthful. But lying darkens the heart, leads to sinful behavior, and pushes a person toward destruction.
In short: Truth elevates, lies corrupt.
