Empathy isn’t just about understanding someone's words it’s about feeling their emotions and seeing the world through their eyes.
A recent situation made me realize how important empathy is. My friend was stressed about a work project, and instead of jumping to give advice, I simply listened. I asked questions to understand what they were feeling, not what they were doing.
In that moment, just being there with them, without judgment, created space for them to express themselves. It wasn’t about solving their problem right away; it was about showing that I cared about how they felt.
Empathy builds trust, connection, and helps us move forward together, even in difficult times.
