Data Analytics Project 26 : Power BI Friends Season Report
This is an episode-level and season-level analysis of one of the most iconic TV series. This dashboard provides a comprehensive, data-driven view of all 10 seasons, designed to explore structure, engagement, and performance trends across the show’s full run.
The report highlights key KPIs including 10 total seasons, 236 episodes, an average star rating of 8.39, average episode duration of 22.34 minutes, total votes of 798K, and the final season release year of 2004. These metrics provide a consolidated snapshot of the series’ scale, popularity, and long-term audience reception.
Visual analysis reveals strong consistency across seasons, with most seasons containing 24–25 episodes and total durations ranging between 528 and 582 minutes. Season 3 records the highest total runtime, while Season 10 stands out with only 18 episodes, resulting in lower cumulative duration and total stars. Seasons with higher episode counts consistently generate higher total star values.
Voting trends show stable audience engagement across episodes and seasons. Early seasons attract higher vote density, while later seasons maintain steady participation. Built using Power BI Desktop with a flat-file dataset, this project demonstrates skills in KPI design, descriptive analytics, and visual storytelling for media analytics portfolios.
