This is brand new to me, but...
Just learned that as of 10/1/25 the CA BAR is saying every online ad must now show the legal shop name (as on BAR), ARD #, and the BAR-registered phone. LSAs display a forwarding number by design and there’s no obvious field to show the ARD #, so this looks non-compliant out of the box for auto repair in CA.
Questions:
- Are you pausing LSAs for CA auto repair, or running with client risk acknowledgment until Google clarifies?
- Any legit way to make LSAs show the BAR phone or surface the ARD # (without breaking profile name rules)?
- Heard anything official from Google on a CA-specific solution/timeline?
- What website, landing page or GBP tweaks are you pairing with LSAs to reduce risk in the meantime?
