Around 8 years ago, my grandma started forgetting things,
and my grandpa was always taking care of her.
But during COVID, she couldn’t do anything by herself, so we decided to
move her into a nursing home for elderly people.
A few years later, my grandpa left his house and
started spending time with her in the same nursing home.
They were both relatively healthy and didn’t have any major health issues, except that my grandma didn’t remember anyone—not even my grandpa.
My grandpa passed away at the beginning of this April. He was 95 years old.
It was shocking, but he died peacefully.
He had 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
We were all together at his funeral, and we peacefully sent him to heaven.
Then last weekend, my grandma passed away.
At first, I couldn’t believe I had lost both of my grandparents in the same month.
But soon, we became sure that my grandpa didn’t want to leave her and
might have been calling her from heaven.
She was also 95 years old.
They were always together—hiking, traveling, and drinking.
Such a lovely couple!
I really love them and wanted to share this beautiful coincidence.
