What tradition from your childhood do you still enjoy today?
One tradition from my childhood that I still really enjoy is receiving red envelopes during the Lunar New Year. It’s customary for elder relatives to give red envelopes to younger family members, and people who aren’t married aren’t expected to give any.
I honestly love this tradition because I’m still single, so I can simply receive money without having to give it out. Although each red envelope usually contains only five or ten yuan, those small amounts can add up to a surprisingly large sum in the end.
