Anyone have or pursuing ICF credentialling?
I'd like to connect with others that have or are going down the International Coaching Federation (ICF) path.
I've already graduated from a ICF accredited Level-2 program after an investment of US$6K and nine months of effort. I only have 70 of the required 100 hours of coaching practice for the ACC credential, which is low considering how long I have been at this. The slow pace is because (1) I soured on peer-to-peer coaching--the quickest way to crank out hours, and (2) my coaching business has been very slow to grow (hence why I am considering COA).
My first questions are (1) what do you see as the advantages of investing in ICF credential?, and (2) how do you see Expert Coach complementing and not conflicting with ICF? I don't mean to suggest there is conflict; I'm just interested in hearing from others that have thought about this. This is conversation we might want to have in private.
