In the moment: - The S.T.O.P technique - Breathwork. Pick from the many variations focusing on depth, slowness, and longer exhale than inhale. - Rub two fingers together. From "PQ Reps" in Positive Intelligence. - Tense up each part of your body and then relax. Ibid. - The above all can be done in public without calling attention to yourself. One more that may require privacy is doing even just one minute of vigorous movement, e.g. running in place, or jumping-jacks. More time is needed, but highly beneficial if you can work into your day: - Morning meditation. Even only five minutes is beneficial. - Longer vigorous exercise. Ideally something like running or bicycling for an hour; however, a brisk walk for just five minutes is still beneficial. - And +1 for @Dr. Tammy Stapp suggestions. Dogs are the best relaxation guides.😁

I have a conflicted relationship with Myers-Briggs (MBTI). I've personally gained some value, AND the following gives me pause relative to recommending to my clients: - Personality Tests Aren’t All the Same. Some Work Better Than Others, Scientific American, February 2024. On average, the Big Five test was about twice as accurate as the MBTI-style test for predicting these life outcomes, placing the usefulness of the MBTI-style test halfway between science and astrology—literally. - Personality Assessments: 10 Best Inventories, Tests, & Methods, PositivePsychology.com, May 2023. Includes: 4 Methods and Types of Personality Assessments. 7 Evidence-Based Inventories, Scales, and Tests. Books About Personality Assessments. - How Useful Are Personality Tests?, Psychology Today, November 2022. Personality psychologists have criticized the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) and the Enneagram for lacking solid evidence of validity and reliability. - Personality Assessments: Separating Science from Nonsense, Psychology Today, November 2022. Among comforting pseudoscience, the MBTI is king. Research shows that its psychometric qualities do not support its usefulness in organizational decisions.
Need some advice fellow coaches
I think I've narrowed down my niche. I want to help people struggling with limitations and obstacles due to mental & physical health barriers overcome them, to live their best lives. Advice that's needed is: how to best navigate the line between the medical aspect and the coaching aspect. I have A LOT of personal experience in both arenas. And also want to make sure I'm staying in my lane. Any and all input/advice to best navigate this niche mucho appreciated!

In an earlier reply, I shared International Coaching Federation (ICF) resources regarding when to refer out to therapy.
Advice on time management
I recently got a 2nd job, one which i actually see myself growing and scaling in to chase my dreams, but i feel like too much is going on at the same time now. I have got my 9-5, im working on my physique, and then working on my dreams, i often find myself not hitting the KPIs i set for myself each day. How do you guys manage your time? Having a calendar for every hour of your day?

Please see: - My earlier reply to a similar question where I shared five resources. - Other conversations mentioning time management.
One sentence niche taking shape
“I help individuals and entrepreneurs cultivate positive beliefs to achieve their goals and navigate challenges effectively through mindset coaching.” Let me know how that resonates with you as a client?

Good direction; however, the wording is challenging in length and structure. One simplification would be, “I help individuals and entrepreneurs navigate challenges and achieve their goals through mindset coaching.” Mindset coaching involves cultivating positive beliefs. You could go even further down to essence with “I help individuals and entrepreneurs achieve their goals through mindset coaching.” Navigating challenges is part of achieving goals. It would read stronger if limited to entrepreneurs: "I help entrepreneurs achieve..." although I understand the desire to go broader than just entrepreneurs.
