Here is the recording of our latest session. The West did not stumble into prosperity by accident, nor was its success a function of mere biology. The discussion opened with a visceral look at the intellectual decay of our modern discourse. The room observed that the term "white" has become a clumsy, often weaponized shorthand for something far more significant: the Enlightenment inheritance. We noted that the Left relies on this racial monolith to erase the specific cultural histories of the Irish, the Scots, the Italians, and the Russians. By collapsing these distinct identities into a single category, they create a convenient target for collective guilt. Friction emerged when the conversation turned to the utility of pride. The collective argued that being proud of an immutable characteristic is logically thin, yet the room recognized a tactical necessity. When a culture is told to be ashamed of its existence, "pride" becomes a refusal to submit to a lie. We observed that the Enlightenment: the very system that invented equality under the law and the abolition of slavery: is being dismantled by the same people who claim to champion justice. The room concluded that the British Empire was not the villain of the historical record, but its most transformative actor. It was the only power to voluntarily turn its back on the slave trade and use its global reach to enforce that liberation on others. To apologize for this legacy is not an act of virtue: it is an act of historical illiteracy. We are living in the ruins of a serious culture, where the facts of our progress are being traded for the comforts of victimhood.
