Legal Case
I am pleased to let you know that the US has legally determined that 'hot boys are a stable of the [young adult romantsy] genre.' https://www.youtube.com/shorts/czmlo-CXjNk
The Total Collapse of the IRGC Empire
The IRGC's refusal to sign a deal with President Trump is not just about adhering to the ideals of the Islamic revolution. It’s about survival as a criminal enterprise. Vahidi knows that a normal Iran means the end of the IRGC oil monopoly. These leaders would rather sacrifice the entire population than lose their own seats at the table. They are not just protecting their Islamic revolution. They are protecting their source of revenue and their lives.

What's really brilliant about this though is that Trump is, by design or not, forcing them to reveal who they truly are. He's also fragmenting them. In fact, the whole 'indeterminate' thing, which I didn't like, I actually think was a good move. By giving them no fixed timeline, he is going to cause them to be way more freaked out than if he gave them a 'You have until Friday' kind of thing.
Dorian Gray in the Digital Age: A Mirror to Modern times
the cost of valuing form over essence. While the gap is more than a century, the human psyche remains trapped in the same ancient tensions. In this version, Dorian would curate a pristine, algorithm optimized Instagram or TikTok feed. masterpiece intersects with the reality of modern life: 1. The Digital Portrait: Maintaining the Flawless Persona Dorian’s portrait remains young and beautiful while he ages and decays. Now ,our digital feed is the new portrait. We need to present an edited, polished, and flawless version of our lives. a version that never grows tired, and never makes a mistake. In The modern conflict, The more energy we invest in maintaining our digital image, the more our true, complex, and vulnerable selves bear the burden of burnout, anxiety, and a profound sense of emptiness. 2. The Economy of Aesthetics Wilde was the harbinger of Aestheticism, and today, turned aesthetics into a primary profession. In thid economy, self worth is often measured through the lens of one’s personal aesthetic. Like Lord Henry, who seduced Dorian into worshipping his own beauty and living solely for pleasure, modern society offers extreme rewards to those who can maintain the most brilliant "shell." Narcissism is a vital economic engine. 3.The Modern Duality: The Fear of Exposure This is the big problem: Dorian’s terror of falling, The social pressure to maintain a "perfect image" at all costs fosters a culture of systemic performativity, where everyone manages dual lives: the public facing ideal versus the messy, human reality that exists behind the scenes.

I thought Dorian gained immortal youth through his portrait. Like actual immortal youth. Not just portrayed immortal youth.

@Hila Lala My entire familiarity with this story comes from The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, so I may not understand what Dorian Grey is actually about.
"Starmer is wrong" on the legality of the Iran war.
Something I spotted a month back which I forgot to get round to till recently, so details are out of date, but could be useful to throw at anyone who still tries to say the war is illegal. Also has some amusing Starmer bashing. Starmer is wrong, the Iran War is legal

This is the most justified war in history, or ties for it. Also, international law doesn't exist. Like, not in a meaningful sense.

@Soap Box Funnily enough we have a law on the books, that if the ICC ever takes an American to court, we will invade and rescue that person.

Since Naré was asking me about this. First, a few songs I wanted to send to Khameini on X before Israel killed him before I had a chance. I'm still very annoyed with them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfjTZLxekig https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnayvmyploE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Co5n2RVbWM0 This one I lied yesterday, sorry! Technically I added this to the list after Khameini was already dead, but it works to send to the other IRGC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtbct2jzLBU No list of songs for Israel and America kicking ass can be complete without some Disturbed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWxBrI0g1kE This is the song I think of when I think of how awful the IRGC are. 'Their souls go to hell but we'll leave their bones for the crows. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGD3w3GI8_A

I will add Tehran by The Offspring as a song I wanted to send the mullahs. I know it is anti war. But think of saying it to them, not to Americans. 'The president said let it ride. You will be damned. Make your last stand in Tehran.'

@Soap Box For once we really can blame this on the Jews! Stop being so efficient at killing mullahs! Or at least give me some warning!
