A Modern naval engagement would likely begin and end within an hour. Logistical of time in flight of a missile or the time it takes a torpedo to hit a target. This can actually take a long time. I think all operational ships would be destroyed, whether or not it would go nuclear is another story? Probably most China and Russian ships would be gone. I strongly favor the idea that American ships will survive much better than adversary fleets. I don’t think aside from a potential nuclear war that America has any real reason to worry
