Re. Islamic State Foreign Minister on Special Report
The point of this interview, I believe, is to put pressure on Pres. Trump to refrain from action against the Islamic Republic. Reportedly, VP Vance favours "negotiation" which is the regime's usual delaying tactic and which has worked for decades to prevent action. An element of GOP (MAGA?) want the US to avoid taking action, and Fox is an outlet favoured by all sides of GOP. This interview will lead to pressure on Pres. Trump to use tactics such as "tariffs", "sanctions" and the like. There needs to be a rapid response ready to address this.
