Iranians in diaspora vs inside
I see a lot of arguments hinting how diapsora Iranians are different than Iranians in Iran. Why? We all fled the same society and started to speak up. Iranians in Iran started to speak up and they got gunned down. That's the only difference between us.
If someone today flees Iran and starts advocating for Pahlavi, is he irrelevant because his location changed? Or does he become irrelevant after a year? 5 years? 10 years? What is the standard here to deem the voices of diaspora irrelevant?
And if there is such major support for Pahlavi in locations were we will not be gunned down for showing support, why can't we assume there is major support inside too? We are the reflection of the society we fled.
I find it very disheartening that after millions came out with Pahlavi's name on their lips and were killed for it, we are slowly moving backwards into having to prove whether he has support inside....
