Twin boys with level 1 autism
Hi. Im a mom to twin 5 year old boys. Our boys were diagnosed at age 3. The boys love being outdoors and learning about animals. Dinosaurs and dragons are everywhere in this house. Overall they're happy little guys who want nothing more than to play with other kids. The boys will be going into general education kindergarten in August. We are incredibly nervous and excited. Currently, the boys are in OT for sensory integration and working on fine motor skills. We are still trying to find a PT that will help with tippy toe walking. We tried ABA at 3.5 and it was not a good experience. Would like to try again but im dreading the process. The boys are struggling with social interaction and being able to keep up with conversation.

Intro
Hi All! I’m a mom of 4 little (3.5 year old twin boys, 1.5 year old girl, and a 4 month old boy). My one twin boy, Teddy, was diagnosed with Level 2 Autism when he was 2.5. He’s been in OT and Speech since September 2024 and started ABA therapy over the summer. He’s currently in school 4 days a week as well! I’m excited to learn how to parent him better and tune into his strengths!

My son was diagnosed when he was 2.5 currently receiving speech, and OT … we have been on a waiting list for ABA for about 6 months and idk how long more is going to take. Anyone who is doing ABA do you mind sharing your experience ? Anything helps please and thank you.
