GPT-5, o3 alpha, Open Source
Sam Altman has mentioned GPT-5 a few times now on different podcasts, and rumors on X.com were that they almost released it but pulled back due to a last minute issue, so we may see GPT-5 in the next few weeks.
Earlier this week, an AI model called "o3 alpha" became available on the WebArena AI testing platform, and from the people that had access, it's impressively performant, generating complex websites in a single prompt.
Finally, and hopefully, OpenAI has mentioned they will release an open source model like DeepSeek that's completely free to download and run on your own computer.
Some online speculation is that open source model is also being secretly tested online already, but nothing confirmed.
GPT-5 is hopefully right around the corner, but hopefully the open source model is too. Either way I'll be sure to have a video up to use them in a proper workflow.
What have you heard? Any other rumors about new AI models releasing soon?
