How do I segment my lead list?

Did I miss something? I have 30 gmail boxes that I've been warming up for a month now and I'm looking at doing the same with microsoft boxes but letting them warm up for 3 or 4 months. I have a huge lead list that hasn't been cleaned yet. So when I start using a verifying service such as "Million Verifier" does it supply the information reguarding the recipients email protocol, gmail, 365 or SMPT? I'm thinking to segment my leads and campaigns accordingly. They say there is no such thing as a stupid question but am I over engineering?
