Why?
Mostly non-participation. Recently, I removed ten. Twenty more joined. And I've just removed ten more.
I only tell you this to say, that for now, joining the community is free, because my goal is to build an active and mutually beneficial group for all who join.
Folks who join now for free can stay free forever.
But I will, in the near future, switch the group to paid. So the price to pay now is really just participation.
And not in a forced way.
Not like: participate or you’re off the island.
But just like… participate, or you’re off the island…
Know what I mean?
That's the only way it's fun and useful for everyone. All to say, I did recently institute a rule where you must introduce yourself or be removed, which means technically a lot of people are slated for removal at this point. It will take me a while to get through the list. But I will get through it.
And when I do, I’ll start talking about how we’ll switch over to the paid model which will include those affiliate link things.
I was thinking I’d even replace my own link for promoting the community with one of your affiliate links!
Say like, whoever tops the leaderboard each month I’ll use their affiliate link to promote the community for the next month?
That would be cool…
