I finally got to the gym today! We had a routine in Australia, gym EVERY day, focused on strength. For the past 3 months or more, our focus has been purely on strength. I beat my Strict Press PB and got the 36kg up, with the leg press, I got 300kg for 6 reps, and still had more in the tank, also a PB. But I suffered severely when it came to feeling like I could handle anything. In fact, in the workshop I ran a couple of days ago, I nearly passed out, never got that close to passing out. I feel weak because of it, as I usually can handle the heat, I can handle being uncomfortable, no problems with cardio.
Anyway, I haven't done a darn thing other than work since I started. I started at 89.1; my belly is bigger now than when we started. But I lost 4.5 kilos! And that's with shoes on and not in the morning.
Today, we finally found a good gym, got most of the other things done that we had to do when we arrived. So, now, I am focused on just increasing my cardio. I would love to keep up one part of the strength training, which is the strict press, but they do not have kettlebells over 20kg. For the next 2 weeks, I will stick to a simple routine of hang clean, strict press, and squat 10 reps. Rest as required. other side, then decrease the rest period as I progress. When I did my regular workouts, things like XERXES, I didn't think much of it, but now those workouts scare me. I NEED to get back to where that was the norm.
I hope everyone else is making progress.
Oh, and off alcohol. Still sticking to OMAD, which is the regular thing.
