Listing Book On Amazon

I made the mistake of publishing my first children's book with BookBaby Publishing. They made my book available on Amazon, and it is still showing as active. I've been told it will take several months to come down, but they won't fulfill any new orders.

I was advised to upload to KDP with a new ISBN.

My marketing coach told me this might cause a duplicate listing. Has anyone experienced this issue?
