Last night my boy got promoted to Purple Belt and I couldnāt be more fired up for him. When yāall see him in the gym, make sure you give him a shout and show him some love. That promotion is 100% earned. šŖš„
Jonah and I actually got promoted to Blue Belt on the same night three years ago, and since then weāve just kept showing up, grinding rounds, and building a real friendship on the mats.
Thatās one of the coolest parts of Jiu-Jitsu you donāt just train together, you go through the struggle together. Early mornings, hard rounds, getting smashed, learning, growingā¦ all of it.
And honestlyā¦ I knew it was only a matter of time before he hit that next level. Jonah has always been one of those guys who just keeps showing up, keeps putting in the work, and keeps getting better.
Seeing someone you came up with keep climbing is something special.
Iām proud of you brother and grateful for the friendship. Letās keep rolling and keep getting better.
