Boplicity pentatonics
Hi, today I practiced playing pentatonics over the tune Boplicity.
I know that its out of the style of the tune, but I think this expands my vocabulary.
Since I think of the tune as sections in F Bb and Ab I did the following:
I mix the major pentatonic on the I (or the minor on IV however you like to think about it) and the minor VI pentatonic on the II degree (to give me some crunch) diatonic to the section's key.
In F that would be F G A C D and G A Bb D E.
