Daily Habit Thursday
This i s a before bed or immediately after your work day kind of habit! If you are finding that you are anxious, stressed and always thinking of work, or family dynamics. I use a tool called control vs non control Step 1. Get a piece of paper. Step 2. Write down a list of everything you are anxious about, everything that you're worried about. Step 3. Cross off everything you CAN'T control. Step 4. Write down on a separate piece of paper all the things you can control in the order of easiest to most difficult or in order of importance. Step 5. Take action through that list. small steps will help you always. One by one. By following these steps you will quickly realise that theres a lot of noise in the thing's you can't control which also leads to more clarity, action and ability to regulate emotions!
Daily Habit: The Power of YET
Oops I missed one... Today we will go into the mindset for habits! The Power of "YET" The word "Yet" is more powerful than you think. Lets say you have a limiting belief, I can't do this, I have not done this, I don't know how to do this, I don't know what to do... Simply add the word "YET" after that sentence. Lets Dig in a little bit more... People say it takes 10,000 hours to MASTER a skill That means if you dedicated 12 hours a day to this new skill, every single day, it would take you 833 days or 2 years 3 months roughly. Whats less known is in order to develop a level of competence in that skill you only need around 20 hours. Things start to look more achievable hey! So back to the word "YET" This 5 minute daily Micro-Habit will open your world to new possibilities! It is a three letter mindset that will shift your perspective, intentions, actions and results! When you use YET in your life you will be able to: 1. See challenges as opportunities 2. Learn from reflections of what worked and what didn't (YET) 3. Stop Seeking Approval - you are not looking to be perfect or right, you are looking to learn more 4. Celebrate success of others (because you are no longer comparing yourself!) "Im not as good as them (YET)" takes you away from comparison into the "what can I learn from them" 5. Change your mindset, perspective and view on life. Heres a few of my limiting beliefs... I am not good at marketing (YET) I am not confident in public speaking (YET) I don't like content creation (YET) I don't have the experience or skills to host global retreats (YET) See how that one word now reshapes and reframes the meaning? Give it a go... Why haven't you done it? (YET) 😉

Mindset Monday: Discipline & Love
It's the end of my Monday and half way through it for others and then only just starting for some others again, isn't the world a beautiful place. Where I go to sleep on a Monday, others are just starting their Monday... Welcome to Mindset Monday! Today I share with you something I learnt actually today at my weekly mens yoga group. "Discipline derives from the latin, discipulus, which literally means, “to learn”. Disciple, of course, has a very different intimation than discipline, especially in our contemporary landscape. With disciple comes thoughts of, ‘instruction, teaching, learning, knowledge’: basically, a student of education." If we think about discipline in this context, to have discipline, means we must learn. We must learn with love, only through self compassion and love for ourselves, our goals and what we do, will we be fully able to be disciplined. Discipline means to have a growth mindset and then apply the lessons within.
