The books that changed us
Hey Jammies! Today I thought we could reflect on something that had an impact, following on from @Anastasija Kulundzic and I's conversation on the book "The courage to be disliked" by Ichiro Kishimi & Fumitake Koga. I'd love to know the books you've read or listened to that have had a huge impact on you, the way you think, the way you act, behave and the way you go about life. I never used to be a big reader, in fact I think until I was 28 I had only read 3 books in total. 1. Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life 2. Kensukes Kingdom (a teenage book, for some reason really connected with me) I think here it was about the adventure, the survival and friendship. 3. Tiger eyes (I have no idea what it was about but it was a school project. Since then, I have collected far more books than I have read and I do intend to read them when I have balance and more structure in my life (when I quit my job and go full time here) It all started in 2023 for me, right as my marriage was falling apart. I found I was lost, had more time to myself and I went to learning. The first Book: The Resilience Project GEM: Gratitude Empathy and Mindfulness. This had such a huge impact on me it led me to my decision to fly to Vietnam and volunteer teaching English! The Second Book: Jay Shetty's 8 rules of love. This was my quest to see if I could save a failing marriage, see if I could learn anything about relationships and love. Turns out it was about these things, but the relationship to self and love of self and how we can apply that in life. The Third Book: The Courage to be Disliked This one had me engaged start to finish, an easy read with powerful lessons. Finally, a book I listened to "The Secret" -- taught me about the law of attraction and how powerful the mind can be. Now these books all have different meanings to me, they all have different lessons and if you want to learn more.. ask me in the comments! Now over to you all!!

Community Call!
Hey team! I am so sorry! I made a mistake for last nights call. I turned up and no one showed up… I realised I joined from the Google link not the Skool link but only realised this morning when @Christopher Brown messaged me! So apologies to @Christopher Brown & @Elizabeth O'Carroll It was good to know the call still went ahead! What were the insights from today’s call guys?
Community Call!
It's someones birthday!
Happy Birthday to the person who has quite literally made this community all possible! @Julie Brown my amazing mum! Not only did she give birth to me, she also raised me, brought me up alongside @Christopher Brown to make me who I am. She turns up to every event, in person and online (when she can) She believes in me, my mission, my purpose and always has my back! She lent me money when I wanted to do my breathwork certification, she had my back through my divorce, she supported me when I broke my shoulder overseas in Italy and she is just an all round superstar. Without mum telling me stories of her dad, John, this mission would not exist. Happy Birthday Mum enjoy Vanuatu!
