﴿إِلَّا تَذْكِرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰ﴾ (20:3)
“Except as a reminder for those who fear (God).”
“Reminder” (tadhkira) means the recalling of something forgotten into the mind. Indeed, belief in divine oneness (tawḥīd) is firmly rooted in human nature (fiṭrah), while associating partners with God contradicts it. Thus, the call to Islam is a reminder of what is already within the natural disposition, or a reminder of the religion of Abraham, peace be upon him.
