This reel captures one of the most vulnerable moments of my DEBx talk
the moment I told the truth many people hide:
“There was a season when my own mind became the very place I was trying to escape.”
I didn’t share it for attention.
I shared it because too many people walk around smiling…
while quietly battling thoughts no one knows about.
In my talk, I took people back to the beginning
the cardboard basement in Brooklyn,
the mental battles,
the identity I had to rebuild piece by piece,
and the silent fear of disappearing without anyone noticing.
But I also showed the other side
how God met me in that basement,
how sticky notes became survival,
how purpose started whispering before I ever believed in myself,
and how that moment turned into a mission to help others break free.
Partnering with DEBx &Amplified Voices on mental-health awareness made this bigger than motivation
this is about healing, hope, and reminding someone that their story is not finished.
And this reel?
This is only Part 1.
The beginning of a series that will uncover the journey
from the basement, to the battles, to the breakthrough.
If you’re fighting silently, I made this for you.
