A Full and Balanced Day ...
In my world and work, there are distinct tough times and distinct moments of pure joy. Today, both are scheduled. First, a full day virtual seminar. "Missing Pieces" is a 5-session series designed for non-Indigenous educators wishing to empower Indigenous students. Today, I deliver the heaviest of the five. Module 2 is about Canadian history (specifically federal legislation) that over the years has continually and constantly oppressed Indigenous people. And I am delivering it to an Indigenous audience. The day will be valuable but heavy. Sadness, anger, frustration, and even the feeling that we should just give up are all common responses but the learning and the living through the emotions is part of our healing. It will be a good day. And then tonight, the PARO awards. I am nominated and although I do not believe I will win, I love the chance to come out and celebrate the organization that helped me. Without Paro, I wouldn't have a company and tonight, we celebrate that. It will be a long day. It will be a full day. And no doubt, it is a day I am grateful for. Whatever your day brings, my speaker friend, be grateful for the opportunities and the growth. Love ya! Sandi

Sit in Your Eldership ...
The terminology may be foreign to you but let me explain ... When a customer (new or past) reaches out to me, it is because: a) they have a problem. b) they believe I have the skills, experience, etc. to help them solve that problem. c) they want my help. They do NOT want to buy a product or training seminar or hire me as a keynote. THEY WANT THE SOLUTION TO THEIR PROBLEM. So focus on that ... "Oh, yeah, that IS frustrating. I have worked with many that have that exact same issue and I have several ways I can help and which one depends on what you would like the solution to look like. If you think your team needs inspiration so they can fix this, that's a keynote. If your team doesn't know HOW to fix this, that's a lunch and learn session, a training seminar or workshop. (And considering how in-depth this issues is, I would recommend ... ). And if you would like a resource that your team can reference whenever this arises again (because it will), that's a video course that you purchase once and own." So how can I best support your team? That's how you book keynotes and sell products - by being the guide, the mentor, the ELDER they need. The vehicle is the product or service you sell but what you sell is the SOLUTION. Because you are who they need. Enjoy your day! Love ya! Sandi

Such a powerful reminder—people don’t buy products, they seek solutions. Love the clarity and guidance in this message!
One win. One moonshot. Your turn.
Everyone here has grown in some way in 2025… and everyone has something bold they want to chase next year. Let’s bring that into the spotlight. In one sentence, complete this prompt: My biggest win in 2025 was ____. My 2026 moonshot is ____. Examples: My biggest win in 2025 was speaking at 5 sessions. My 2026 moonshot is booking 8. My biggest win in 2025 was finally launching my podcast. My 2026 moonshot is hitting 100 episodes. Your turn — what's your one-liner? Tagging some of our new members @Deborah Lutner @Dana S. Mindset ...
Things to do. Places to go. People to see but ... Have to admit my mind and body are so ready for the holiday break, the time of year where I take THREE FULL WEEKS OFF to recharge, to reset, to dream and to give thanks. No emails are answered. No videos are shot. Not even one toe steps foot into my office during that time. Takes about 7 days before my body relaxes. Another 7 is pure recharge. And the final 7 is the excitement of soon being able to return to the work I love. Because even living your dream daily can be exhausting. So whether you take a break or not, my speaker friend, I pray you know what YOU need and I pray that is exactly what you do. Love you! Sandi
