@Crystal Wright Personally, I’m loving the dark cover because it just hits different. The gold typography and heartbeat line pop so much more, and it feels bold, confident, and empowering… exactly what your message is about. It gives the book a stronger presence and makes it stand out instantly.
A Day of Rest ...
One of the greatest joys of running my own business has always been the freedom to choose when I work, whether it is 5 a.m. or on a Sunday. In line with that freedom and the INSANELY long day I had yesterday, today is a day of rest for me. A few daily things will get done. Any priority that arises will be addressed but for the most part, this is my day. Time to recharge and refuel. Taking over the world will wait for another day. lol Love ya all! Enjoy your day! Sandi

One win. One moonshot. Your turn.
Everyone here has grown in some way in 2025… and everyone has something bold they want to chase next year. Let’s bring that into the spotlight. In one sentence, complete this prompt: My biggest win in 2025 was ____. My 2026 moonshot is ____. Examples: My biggest win in 2025 was speaking at 5 sessions. My 2026 moonshot is booking 8. My biggest win in 2025 was finally launching my podcast. My 2026 moonshot is hitting 100 episodes. Your turn — what's your one-liner? Tagging some of our new members @Deborah Lutner @Dana S. @Drew Brania My biggest win in 2025 was landing another official speaker client and building a system that actually gets speakers booked, and my 2026 moonshot is scaling The Northcutt Speaking Agency so more women and a few good men speakers stop stressing over logistics and start getting paid to own the stage.

@Drew Brania Yes Drew, everything you said is spot-on.And let me add this, Talkadot is another game-changer for turning one speech into 3, 4, even 5 more. It makes it easy for your audience to share feedback, refer you, and answer the magic question: “Who else do you know who needs a talk like mine?” That one question alone can keep a speaker booked all year.
The myth of holding it all together.
Today is World Mental Health Day — though let’s be honest, for anyone running a business, every day tests your mental game. The last 18 months have had their fair share of blue 🩵 days for me. When you are the one leading, creating, and keeping things moving, there is this unspoken pressure to stay positive — to be “fine.” Clients, teams, and communities look to you for stability, even when you are the one running on empty. We do not talk about that part enough. There are days when you show up out of pure grit. Days when you question if it is all worth it.And days when a simple walk, a chat, or a quiet cup of tea brings you back to centre. What I have learned is this — asking “What do you need?” is far more powerful than “How can I help?”It gives permission to name what is really going on instead of patching over it. Resilience is not about having it all figured out. It is about knowing when to pause, reset, and reach out. For me, early morning walks have become that reset — time to think, breathe, and remember why I started. So, to my fellow founders and business owners — how do you handle your blue 🩵 days? What helps you stay grounded when everything depends on you showing up?

@Karin Ovari So true Karin. We don’t talk enough about the pressure of leading when your tank is low. I’ve had those “show up on grit alone” seasons too. For me, the reset is stepping back and asking myself exactly that: What do I need right now? For me, I take a walk EVERY Friday in the most beautiful park to relax, think and just admire what GOD has made. I don't pretend everything is fine just pausing, recalibrating, and then moving forward with clarity. We can’t pour from empty cup.

@Karin Ovari Yes where I live (Illinois) the we have about 4 inches of snow and it's snowing again right now. I feel you on the keeping the ability to walk when it's cold and gets dark at 4PM. Walking in the daytime is a smart move. That's what I do. I bundle-up really good and keep it moving. I may not walk as far but I still walk.
