I've mentioned a couple of the times I was able to speak on cruises, so I thought I'd offer anyone who's interested in taking a vacation on a cruise ship, the details on how you can be a part of the onboard entertainment!
I am an A type, I find it hard to take a vacation where I have nothing to do but sight see or lay on a beach! So when I discovered I could combine my vacations and speak to an audience, it was a perfect match!
I have been on 7 cruises and I've seen so many places I would never have thought of visiting!
The first cruise, I was required to speak 4 days out of the 10-day assignment. Typically it was about half of the days, or the days we were at sea.
I got to know the full time cruise staff and found them fascinating! They spent all their time on a cruise ships, it was mind boggling to me. I would join the passengers at dinner and got to know their stories. I told the audiences if they saw me on deck they were welcome to approach me, and they did! The people I met were wonderful and the stories I generated for speaking were unique and impactful!
So if you've ever thought you'd like to hop on a free cruise and be the onboard entertainment, let me know! I'll tell you how you can get started!
