It can be difficult to REALLY CONNECT with ANYONE. Our kids are no exception. Inviting yourself into their lives, quietly, through proximity, real curiosity, and humility. That is about the only way I know to connect properly with my kids (and others). What have you found works for you?

When people ask you what you do, how do you respond? This happens to me, and my response has been un-connected and unimportant to the other person. However, recently I realized I can respond with a question. Hey, what are you doing? Well, you know how hard it is to be a parent....yeah (duh).....well, I have lived that and now I am dedicated to helping other parents and educators connect with their kids. What do you think and how could this lesson (I have learned) help you with your business/purpose?
