I find reflection is GREAT in my world because while in the moment (often) some points escape me.
Well on that note, I found yesterday's discussion about obtaining an IBC tool such as insurance polices deserve a little more attention.
My point is that we should explore how on our journey in wealth building, insurance MUST be the foundation. Reason one, we must manage for risk. I am saying if we are serious (As I am VERY confident this group is. . . ) about providing for our families. We must start with the understanding that we will "graduate" at an unknown point on this journey. So why not start out before anything else with the right type of insurance. Yes or no AND what type of insurance tool must this be?
I am willing to push back on the thought of purchasing a term policy. I have many reasons BUT my main two are (1) a provider is limited to a certain period and (2) it is NOT cost effective.
See as a provider ages (research it. . . ) it becomes VERY hard to afford the next period of term coverage.
Yes there is a lot here but I think as IBC members this is a worthy extended discussion. Maybe helpful to someone looking to start their journey. your thoughts. . . ?
