Question for today
I will miss today's IBC because of a scheduled treatment on Base (Andrews Joint Airforce Base- Maryland). See you next week. My contribution for today is a question. At what point in the life cycle of a Specially Designed Whole Life policy does it become most efficient? My question is probably general because it is likely that each policy is impacted by many factors (age, initial contribution, PUA contribution. . . ). I would say looking at one of my illustrations that seven to eight years would be a good marker. Yes, I am assuming the policy owner requested that all dividends be used to purchase PUAs. Just my question for the community here. Next Week and I will be monitoring resonses.

@Ella Katie Hello Ella! Great to see you are continuing with this journey. I am steadfast in my efforts and belief in the value of using Whole Life Insurance. I have made a hard decision to training as an IBC professional. My studying is going well and I am very excited. Again, great hearing from you. Stay the course!!
continue thought. . .
I find reflection is GREAT in my world because while in the moment (often) some points escape me. Well on that note, I found yesterday's discussion about obtaining an IBC tool such as insurance polices deserve a little more attention. My point is that we should explore how on our journey in wealth building, insurance MUST be the foundation. Reason one, we must manage for risk. I am saying if we are serious (As I am VERY confident this group is. . . ) about providing for our families. We must start with the understanding that we will "graduate" at an unknown point on this journey. So why not start out before anything else with the right type of insurance. Yes or no AND what type of insurance tool must this be? I am willing to push back on the thought of purchasing a term policy. I have many reasons BUT my main two are (1) a provider is limited to a certain period and (2) it is NOT cost effective. See as a provider ages (research it. . . ) it becomes VERY hard to afford the next period of term coverage. Yes there is a lot here but I think as IBC members this is a worthy extended discussion. Maybe helpful to someone looking to start their journey. your thoughts. . . ?

Recap of our Live call today
🔥 Highlights from this week's call — you don't want to miss the next one We got into some seriously deep IBC and wealth-strategy territory on this one. If you weren't there, here's a taste of what got covered: - The PUA vs. loan repayment debate — a candid breakdown of how policyholders are thinking about where to route surplus cash, and why the "right" answer shifts depending on where you are in your policy's life - Carrier-specific PUA mechanics — including a deep dive into catch-up funding rules and lookback provisions that most people don't even know exist until it's too late to use them - The mortgage payoff question — is paying off a low-rate mortgage actually smart? We talked through a framework for evaluating debt efficiency that changes how you think about "good debt" vs. "bad debt" - How to think about saving for next year's premium — without just parking cash in a bank account doing nothing for you - Treating policies as business capital — how policyholders are structuring loans against business-designated funds and thinking about the bookkeeping side of it - Gifting policies to kids — including how to hand over a policy that still has a loan balance, and using it as a teaching tool for the next generation - Insurability planning for kids and spouses — why timing matters more than people realize, especially before hazardous jobs or major life/health changes enter the picture - Convertible term strategy — not all convertible term is created equal, and picking the wrong one can quietly close doors you didn't know were open Plus some great real-world stories from members actively using these strategies in their own businesses and real estate deals. This is the kind of conversation you can't get from a blog post — it's candid, it's real numbers, and it's people actually building this stuff in real time. 👉 Want in on the next one? Keep an eye out for the 24-hour notice and grab a seat.
