A poem I wrote during one of the toughest times in my life.
How much fight is left in a man
How much fight is left in a man
when he thinks he's taken all that he can
How much longer can a man fight
when he's no longer sure if the cause is right.
How much fight is left in a man
when no one seems to understand
that the voices running wild in his head
are telling him that he'd be better off dead.
How much fight is left in a man
when he's no longer confident in his own plan
when all the chips seem to be down
when he feels as if he's the city clown.
I'll tell you how much fight is left in this man
No matter the cause no matter the plan,
Life is a battle I hope you can see
I'll continue to fight until I gain the victory.
