🔥 Home Lab Challenge: Show Off Your AI Setup **NEW**
AI is quickly becoming one of the most interesting things happening in the home lab world right now, and I want to see what everyone is building. It's been a while since we have posted a challenge for everyone to try and share progress. This week’s challenge is all about your AI environment, whether that is fully self-hosted in your rack, running on a mini PC cluster, deployed in Kubernetes, or even using hosted AI services with automation around them.
I want to see:
• Ollama setups
• OpenWebUI dashboards
• GPU servers
• AI coding agents
• Local LLM deployments
• Kubernetes AI workloads
• AI automation workflows
• MCP servers
• Vector databases
• AI pipelines
• Hosted AI integrations
• Hybrid cloud + local AI setups
• Anything creative you are experimenting with
You do NOT need an enterprise rack full of GPUs. Even a small mini PC running a local model counts.

📝 Architecture diagrams
⚙️ Hardware specs
📦 Docker Compose files
☸️ Kubernetes manifests
💡 Lessons learned
🔥 Cool workflows you have built
Bonus points for:
• Power-efficient builds
• Budget setups
• Unique use cases
• Homegrown automation
• AI agents doing real work
• Creative dashboards or monitoring
I especially want to hear:
What has actually been useful versus just hype?
Drop your setups below and let’s see what everyone is building in 2026. These types of interchanges I think are what get us all excited about trying new things in our home labs.
