What to Focus on When Business Is Slow (So Spring Isn’t Chaos)
I posted a TikTok a couple days ago about this topic but let me get more detailed about it... A lot of people are slow right now, so here’s how I think about this season. When work slows down, I focus on three things instead of panicking: 1. Systems This is when I tighten things I ignore when I’m busy: • Lead follow-ups • Scheduling flow • Pricing consistency • How fast I respond to leads If your phone rings in spring but your system is out of order, you’ll feel overwhelmed instead of busy. 2. Marketing Slow season is prep season: • Clean up your Google Business Profile (KEY!) • Line up spring offers • Get ads, door hangers, and follow-ups ready before everyone else wakes up Visibility compounds when demand comes back. 3. Offer & Positioning This is the one most people skip. Ask yourself: • Who am I best for? • What problem do I solve? • Why should someone choose me over the next guy? Create your clients avatar Clear and clean offers convert better than more leads. What is most important on your list right now?

Facebook Ads: What’s Worked for Me
I haven’t posted in this section yet, so I wanted to start with how I personally run Facebook ads for my window cleaning and pressure washing business. This isn’t theory and it’s not some crazy “guru” setup. It’s a simple, repeatable system that’s worked for me locally. I just posted a YouTube video where I walk through: • How I structure my campaigns • What I focus on and what I ignore • Mistakes I made early on • Why simple beats fancy for local service ads 👉 Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/OfdbgTueeAU?si=KozgTIsmE4RQoSqp High-Level Breakdown Here’s the core of what I do: • I run local, service-specific ads (not brand awareness) • I focus on one clear offer per campaign • I send traffic to a simple form or message, not a full website • I care more about cost per booked job than clicks • I don’t touch ads daily — I let them run and collect data Important Note: Facebook ads aren’t magic. They amplify what you already have. If your offer is weak or follow-up is slow, ads won’t fix that. If you want feedback, comment: • Your city • Window cleaning or pressure washing • Your average job price I’ll reply with what I’d test first in your market.

The CRM I Actually Use (Full Transparency)
I want to be upfront before anything else. I use Jobber in my own window cleaning & pressure washing business every single day. I’m also sponsored by them because I already used it and believed in it before any partnership. That said: • You do not need Jobber to be successful • I don’t get paid unless you choose to use my link • This is here because people constantly ask what I use and why Below I’ll break down: ✔ What Jobber does well ✔ Who it’s best for ✔ Where it falls short ✔ Other options depending on your stage My goal is education first, not selling. ✅ What Jobber Is Great At - Scheduling & routing - Invoicing + online payments - Automated follow-ups - Client communication - Easy to use for non-tech people ⚠️ Why Jobber Might not be for You - Overkill if you’re under 5–10 jobs/month - Monthly cost can feel high early on - Not ideal for complex commercial workflows - Limited customization compared to enterprise CRMs If you want to try Jobber for FREE, click the link below. (I am not in it for the money, but I believe in this product and have used to to scale to a 6 figure business) https://go.getjobber.com/austincarter
