I'm writing a book. Here's the opening.
Introduction: The Moment Everything Started There's a moment that every entrepreneur remembers. Not the day you filed your LLC or bought your first tool. The moment before all of that. The moment you looked at something someone else was doing and thought, quietly, almost to yourself: I can do that. For me, that moment happened in front of my own house. Every year, I'd write a check to a vendor to hang Christmas lights. And every year, I'd watch them work and think — this doesn't look that hard. So one day, I did the research. And the research confirmed what I suspected. I could do that. What I didn't know — what nobody tells you — is that 'I can do that' is the most powerful and most dangerous sentence in the English language for an entrepreneur. Powerful because it's almost always true. Dangerous because of what comes next. What comes next is fifteen houses in your first season. Then a move to a new city. Then starting from zero again. Then leaving a corporate career in favor of entrepreneurship and a new business venture. Then a hundred customers. Then a business that your family is part of, that your community knows, that lights up entire neighborhoods every season. This book is the story of that journey. But it's also a blueprint. Every chapter stands on its own — you can read it front to back, or jump straight to the chapter that answers the question keeping you up at night. Either way, you'll get the business and the emotion, because in this industry, you can't really separate the two. The lights are beautiful. The business is real. And if you're reading this thinking what I thought standing in my driveway all those years ago — this book is for you. (Please share this Skool community with your industry friends and partners.
