Untangling the Spiderweb 🕸️

It took me 30 years but I have finally untangled the web!

When the "Tragic Kingdom" came out in 1995 Gwen was my girl! "I'm Just a Girl," "Don't Speak," and "Spiderwebs" were not just songs that I identified with; they ended up being the theme of my life.

Gwen was a girl after my own heart! Her style was similar to mine and we finally had a girl rocker that brought a fresh take to the music scene. People doubted her, thought she was a one-hit wonder, but I had NO DOUBT she was talented and was going to be around for a long time.

Now I feel the same way about myself. People doubted me, people put me down, people had pity on me, but I have gotten up off the floor over and over again. I refused to just be a one-hit wonder. I have come back stronger after every tragedy and trauma I have faced in my life, even with everyone dead set against my healing. Not because the abuse made me stronger but in spite of my abuser and to the glory of God!

With unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, I have risen again and again. And finally, I am no longer caught up in their webs. The nightmares are finally becoming God dreams again.

Whatever you are facing in your life right now, learn how to sit with your feelings and emotions so that you can transmute them rather than let them rule you. Go inward to find God and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Your outside circumstances don't get to determine your inner temperature if you learn how to self-regulate, self-inquire and trust in God not man.

If I can make it this far and still have so much left to contribute in this life, so can you and so it shall BE!

Interestingly enough, just like Gwen did for me in 1995 Miley Cyrus is doing right now. Her new album Something Beautiful, is really resonating with me right now in so many ways.
