Today 8/27/2025 we are in between week 3 and 4: Acknowledgement and Reunion.
Take your time this week to Acknowledge those things in your shadow. Have compassion and comfort the afflicted part of your soul. As we shift into the week of Reunion next week we will continue to dive deep into self-introspection, repentance and comfort. We will also be drawn by the pull of the Full Blood Moon Lunar eclipse nexr weekend 9/7/2025 which just so happens to fall on the week we enter REBIRTH!!!!
ELUL is a time to align our hearts and souls with divine to prepare for the High Holy Days and Rosh Hashanah (New Year) next month on 9/22/25.
Here is the article from last year explaining these seven weeks a little more.
=========================
Shabbat Shalom
It is said from Tu b'Av (August 19) on Her mourning turns to dancing!
There are 7 weeks between Tisha b’Av (Aug 8), one of the saddest days on the calendar, and Rosh Hashanah (New Year Oct. 2). The Haftarah readings for these weeks are known as the 7 prophecies of comfort, the 7 Haftarah of consolation, or some say it lays out 7 steps to healing. The prophetic readings for these seven weeks are all from the book of Isaiah and the sayings all come from the first verses read.
The Seven Steps to Healing from Loss
Week 1: Companionship - Nachamu Nachamu – Companionship Isaiah 40:1–26
Week 2: Awareness. Isaiah 49:14-51:3, "The Lord has forsaken me, My God has forgotten me."
Week 3: Acknowledgement. Isaiah 54:11-55:5, "The afflicted one, storm-tossed is not comforted."
Week 4: Reunion. Isaiah 51:12-52:12, "I, I am He who comforts you."
Week 5: Rebirth. Isaiah 54:1-10, "Sing barren one, you who have not given birth."
Week 6: Rebuilding. Isaiah 60:1-22, "Arise, Shine, for your light has come."
Week 7: Reconciliation and Renewal: Isaiah 61:10-63:9, "I will greatly rejoice in God." (Interestingly enough Isaiah 61 is the scripture Jesus read from the scroll in the temple, see Luke 4)
The purpose behind each one of these readings is to bring you into a closer relationship with God.
The Torah portions read through the 7 weeks are all from Deuteronomy. In Hebrew, it is Devarim and means "words." It is the last book of the five books of Moses and is primarily where Moses lays out the law before the Israelites enter the promised land. It also shows how with repentance and turning to God, even after one has been unfaithful, all can be restored.
When we entered the new lunar month on September 4th we entered into the 4th week, known as REUNION. Take some time these next few days to spend time with Source. Become Aware of the presence and acknowledge it. Let Source be He who comforts you. Spend time re-uniting with Source as we transition into a week of REBIRTH in a few days.
I've seen many people in the tribe saying how they have had to just take some time to rest. The Sabbath was created just for that purpose. Shabbat reminds us that we must take the time to rest every week and recharge. I'm personally learning how to be gentle with myself as I continue to love and nurture my inner child, shadow self and higher self. The NOW SELF-body needs some tender loving care, so I let Source comfort me and teach me how to care for myself.
These are two classes with meditations that may be useful during this time:

This is a good one if you are having some blockages connecting to Source, because of thinking too much:
