New "Super" Moon for the Month of Adar - Did Someone Say Alignments!?!?
The alignments just keep on coming! Another planetary alignment is in the skies this week after we had one, exactly a month ago, the week of January 25th. This will be the last time this alignment or planetary parade is visible in the sky until 2040.
The New Moon on Feb 27, 2025, will not only be a Supermoon but it also starts an alignment where the new moon is on the 27th 2 times and the full moon will be on the 12th 3 times, and twice in a row. This then starts a count down on the full moon all the way until Feb 1st, 2026 (2/1/26). Literally the Moon will start counting down on the Gregorian Calendar until it gets to December 4th, then January 3rd, then February 1st 2026 making it 2/1!
I’m not exactly sure what this countdown means for us. But whenever I see something like this I take it seriously. At the very least we can use something like this as a permission slip. What things in your life have you been putting off that need to be put in order? What things need to come into alignment? You can use this as your final countdown to take action and stop procrastinating and waiting for circumstances to change for you to change or for you to make change!
Adar is the 12th month. During a leap year an additional month of Adar is added, making Adar I and Adar II (that’s 1 and 2 again). It’s actually known as the pregnant month. The joy of Adar is what makes it the pregnant month. Again I feel like the universe is calling us all to a deep womb cleansing (whether you are male or female this is a spiritual womb.) Maybe there have been ideas and hopes and dreams you had in the past that have died but you are living with the ashes of those “deaths” or (what seems like) failures and it’s time to clean the ashes of these old dormant dreams off the altars. At the same time God can be breathing new life into some of these dreams remolding it into something that is even greater than you thought before. We are in a time of allowing the Divine to do a deep work within us so we can thrive in the season and shifts that are still to come.
The numbers 12 and 27 are very significant. Gregorian calendar and lunar/Hebrew calendar alignments. February the 2nd month, Adar the 12th. The 2 in February becomes part of the countdown of the full moon, becoming 2 and 1 in 2026.
Do to the obvious highlighting of the numbers 12 and 27 I thought looking at what these numbers represent would be prudent and of course what I found was that there are multiple synchronicities with this month of Adar and the tribe of Naphtali.
Let’s dive in deeper…
The tribe of the month of Adar is Naphtali which has multiple meanings one of which is “sweetness is to me.” In Gen. 49:21 Jacob blesses his 6th son this way, “Naphtali is a hind let loose: He giveth goodly words.” This blessing indicates joy, happiness and satisfaction. The tribe of last month was Asher and his name means happiness, contentment, richness, affirmation, and prosperous. Asher is considered to be part of the Camp of Dan along with Dan and Naphtali (Num. 2:27). It’s interesting that this scripture reference linking Asher and Naphtali is 2/27 (Feb. 27) aligning with this New Moon! The Lord is synchronizing time in this hour. Just like the Hebraic calendar adds the month of Adar II to synchronize time, the Lord is also synchronizing the NOW time.
The word Synchronize means – 1) Make things work at the same time, or the same rate as something else; 2) to set timepieces to indicate the same time as each other; 3) to go or work together or in unison; 4) to make the soundtrack of a movie match up with the action.
The Lord is setting times of old up to be at the same time in the present indicating that they are the same time as each other. They work together in unison. This will also be the last time the start of the New Month (the New Moon) on the Lunar/Hebraic Calendar will line up with the Gregorian Calendar in 2025. March 1st is also the 1st day of Adar. Another alignment happening March 1st is the start of Ramadan this year. It just seems that the Creator is highlighting Divine alignments right now like never before. Don’t miss the signs, don’t delay any longer, get things in order!
New Moon’s are the head of the month and a great time to set clear intentions. Get things in alignment and continue to purge and remove those things (habits, commitments, relationships, etc.) that no longer serve you and can’t come with you through this next transformative phase.
Another synchronization or alignment that is being set up with this New Moon is that the Full Moon coming in the month of Adar will be a Full Lunar eclipse revealing a Blood Moon on Purim!
PURIM
This is a month known for the hidden miracles as displayed in Purim (Esther 9:1). Part of the beauty of the Book of Esther is that it’s the only prophetic work that does not mention God’s name to teach us that He is always there in the course of human events. You can learn in this month how to trust in the Divine at all times even when it seems he is not there. God dwells with us at all times, it is up to us to allow Him to enter into our lives.
In the story of Esther she could not reveal her true identity because Haman was calling for the extermination of the Jewish people. By initially hiding one's true identity, pretending to be someone else, the innermost essence of one's true self becomes revealed. In this place of “hiding” Esther found her true purpose and gained a boldness to approach the King at the final hour to unveil Haman’s plot against her people. The normal procedure for her approaching the king in this manner would have meant her death, even in the face of assured death she said, “If I perish I perish!” It’s time to step out of the shadows and have the boldness and courage to do what is right. No more hiding!
“On Purim, we reach the level of the "unknowable head" ("the head that does not know itself nor is known to others"), the state of total existential hiddenness of self from self, for the sake of "giving birth" to one's ultimate self anew.” In modern times to celebrate Purim people dress up in costumes and masks and give each other treats. I find it interesting how this correlates to the hidden unknown self within us.
According to the Johari Window the Unknown self represents information about you that is unknown to you and others. This is the part of our self that neither we, nor the others can see. It contains all those things which are out of our awareness. That is, depressed feelings and experiences which have been stored deeply in our subconscious. While the Blind self represents information about you that others know but you do not know and the Hidden self represents information about you that you know but others do not know. This is the area that is known to you but not known by others.
In the story of Esther she was not able to reveal her true identity, this was the hidden self. However, the creator is pointing to the unknown self, or as Carl Jung puts it, the shadow self. In this season of transformation and integration the Divine is calling us to embrace not just our Hidden self but our Unknown self. Get to know your shadow self and learn to love every part of you.
Another meaning of the name Naphtali is to win something through wrestling. In Deuteronomy 33:23, Moses blesses him this way, “O Naphtali, satisfied with favor, And full of the blessing of the LORD, Take possession of the sea [of Galilee] and the south.” When Moses says Naphtali's will is satisfied, it implies that Naphtali has reached a state of complete alignment with the divine will, experiencing no internal conflict or desire for anything outside of divine purpose. It is considered the highest spiritual level, representing the divine will, pure consciousness, and the source of all creation. This state is often described as a state of pure joy and bliss, where all experience is perceived as positive and harmonious. So you see, the internal wrestling with your shadow self and your ego is part of the integration process of coming into complete alignment with the Divine will and becoming one with the Creator. The fruit from this internal struggle brings forth a metamorphosis. Just as the Divine is making the times and seasons work in unison for His purposes, Naphtali’s life and blessings show us as well, how to work in unison with the Creator.
27 & 12
When we look at the meaning of the numbers 27 and 12 we see even more synchronicities. The number 27 can have multiple spiritual meanings, including divine purpose, enlightenment, fulfillment, personal development, joy, and happiness. It’s associated with growth, abundance, compassion, and creativity. It has a nurturing nature and the ability to bring forth new ideas and innovations. It can represent the number of the Holy Spirit. It can also represent the highest level of spiritual attainment. Alfred Weysen considered 27 to be a lunar symbol, representing light in darkness. It can symbolize the virtue of the subconscious human processes.
27 is a combination of 2 and 7. The number 2 symbolizes harmony, cooperation, and partnership, while 7 resonates with spiritual awakening, introspection, and inner wisdom.
The number 12 has many spiritual meanings, including perfection, authority, completeness, harmony, and hope. It's often associated with God's divine order and government. It can represent a time of transformation, spiritual growth, and alignment with the universe. A reminder to trust in the timing of your life and have faith that things will work out in the end. A sign that the balance between the divine masculine and divine feminine is being restored.
In the Bible, 12 represents the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 apostles; the 12 gates and foundations of the New Jerusalem. In the Old Testament, 12 is a foundational symbol that marks the beginnings of God's chosen people. 12 can represent the manifestation of the Trinity to the four corners of the earth.
In ancient civilizations, 12 represented plenitude, completion, and integrality.
Integrality is a noun that means the state of being complete or total. Unified wholeness the state of being complete and entire; having everything that is needed.
Next month will be Nissan and that marks the Head of the Months and is a minor New Year. The tribe of the month is Judah. I believe much of what we are being shown through the month of Adar about our own masks and shadows will position us to enter into the New Year with a confidence and strength of being more aligned with the process of integrality. The lion is the king of the jungle and walks with a fierceness and a knowing of who he is. This is the kind of praise we have to bring into this season. Allowing the King of kings to move inside of you and through you, becoming one with you and you one with him moving mountains with a shout. Raising up waters with a roar. Fierce but compassionate. Lion and the lamb. Integrality, Wholeness.
Put on your New Identity – Your TRUE identity. Let this New Moon shine some light on your darkness.
Remove the masks – What are your stories? What are those things lingering in your shadow or unknown self? How can you come into alignment with the Creator and work in unison with him?
Let God turn your sadness into Laughter
It’s a time to transmute and integrate. Adar is a month where bad fortune metamorphosis in to good. We learn from the story of Esther that in the month of Adar, we have the opportunity to succeed against an opposing force, both on an internal and external level. Make Adar the month you reach the potential God has placed within you to overcome that which has come against the purposes of God for your life.
It’s also a joyous time with Asher, Naphtali and Purim. This is almost like a pre-emptive joy putting victory out into the atmosphere, calling forth favor and blessings that are to come as we remove the masks and start living authentically from an integrated place of purity. No longer hiding in the shadows but embracing every aspect of yourself and carrying yourself boldly into your future with confidence (not arrogance) and compassion. Compassion in knowing you are human and no one is perfect so you don’t need to beat yourself up and cower in shame because you made a mistake. And confidence that comes from being whole on the inside and having faith, trusting and relying on God and the unknown to do its thing!
