Your Database Is Worth More Than You Think (Here's The Math)

I wish someone had told me this in my first year of business:

For every person in your database that you actively nurture for a year, you can expect a specific dollar amount in revenue.

In real estate, that number is $1,000 per contact.

200 contacts in your database
Actively reaching out and providing value (not just asking for sales)
By year end = $200,000 in revenue

But here's what most solopreneurs get wrong—they think "network" just means potential customers.

WRONG.

Your network includes:

✅ Direct consumers

✅ People who serve your ideal clients

✅ People who want to help you serve more people

Example: As a photography company, we didn't just target brides. We targeted wedding planners who had access to 100+ brides.

One connection = 100 potential clients.

Your Action Steps:

Calculate your average sale price - What's your typical contract or product value?
Count your real contacts - How many people do you actually engage with regularly?
Do the math - If real estate is $1K per contact, what's YOUR multiplier based on your average sale?
Get a CRM - Even if it's just a Google Sheet with: Name, Email, Phone, Profession, Birthday, Where You Met Them, Last Contact Date
Work the list - Provide value. Check in. Show you care. Sales is service.

The Truth: Quality > Quantity

Vet your contacts. Not everyone deserves your energy. Ask people directly: "Would it be easier if I checked in monthly or just once a year?"

Let them tell you how they want to be nurtured.

Stop worrying about reaching out "too much." Worry about the quality and intention of what you're sharing.
