๐Ÿฉต Your Free Healtheology Resource Drop
This week, Iโ€™m sharing something a little different: 5 Biblical Wellness fails from my actual week. ๐Ÿ˜… Including the moment I realized I had checked my abs before I checked my heart. I was feeling puffy. Judging myself in photos. Skipping travel workouts. Struggling to rest. And yesโ€ฆ even putting Doritos on my salad. ๐Ÿ˜‚ So this weekโ€™s message digs into 1 Samuel 16:7 and what it teaches us about: - Health - Biblical Wellness - Christian body image - And what God is actually looking at. Because while the world trains us to constantly check the outside... God keeps inviting us to check the heart. ๐Ÿฉต ๐ŸŽฅ Watch Episode 72 on YouTube + subscribe so you donโ€™t miss the weekly Biblical Wellness conversation: https://youtu.be/yJ1jfxVeu9A?si=w0c_--8gEoh9wUe_ ๐Ÿ“– Read the Substack + subscribe for a free Biblical Wellness resource delivered every week: https://open.substack.com/pub/wholehardy/p/i-checked-my-abs-before-i-checked?r=1w211n&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true Choose your favorite way to consume itโ€”or be an overachiever and do both. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Drop a ๐Ÿฉต below if youโ€™re checking your heart before your abs with me this week.

My July Prayer for you
Hey ladies of Healtheology ๐Ÿ‘‹ How has your summer been so far? June wasnโ€™t all that bad for me if Iโ€™m being honest. But - I donโ€™t think I was all that intentional about it either. Like, a lot of great things & busy things went down. But I canโ€™t really say whether it felt messy, joyful, heavy, or unfinished. So, Iโ€™m praying this over you & me to help us notice when we start to feelโ€ฆ โ€ขJudgey โ€ขPressurey โ€ขRushed โ€ขAnnoyed โ€ขBehind โ€ขPuffy โ€ขDelusional โ€ขOver it New months can remind us God is *always* willing to begin again & again & again & again with us. He wants us to try Him on like a brand new fit ๐Ÿ‘— ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ So letโ€™s encourage each other to: โŒ Ditch the regrets โŒ Release the shame โœ… Embrace the freedom โœ… And love our people like heck Letโ€™s walk a little closer to how Jesus would walk. And our July just might be a little more memorable thanโ€ฆ wait what month did we just finish? ๐Ÿ˜›

Healtheology Verse of the Week: 1 Samuel 16:7
๐Ÿฉต Healtheology Verse of the Week ๐Ÿ“– 1 Samuel 16:7 -- "People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." What if 1 verse could completely change the way you approach your health this week? So many of our wellness struggles begin because we're looking at the wrong thing. ๐Ÿชž We check the mirror โš–๏ธ We check the scale ๐Ÿงฎ We check our calories ๐Ÿ‘™ We check our clothes But how often do we stop to check our hearts? Biblical Wellness reminds us that culture got health backwards. >>> Our goal is to get Healthy to Help, not skinny to socialize. <<< As you move through this week, let this verse become the filter for every health decision you make. This week's "Biblical Wellness Workout": โœ… Memorize 1 Samuel 16:7 ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ Meditate on it during a walk ๐Ÿ™ Ask God to search your heart >>> Honestly reflect: How often do I check my body compared to how often I check my heart? <<< I'd love to hear from you in the comments: 1. What stood out to you from this verse? 2. What is one way you'll practice it this week? I'm meditating on this Scripture as well and really look forward to hearing what you guys think about how it impacts how we health. Love & Light, Katie

Putting Jesus At The Center Of Our Health
Call me crazy but taste isnโ€™t my main reason for food selection (if it were Iโ€™d be eating ice cream all day. Trust.) ๐Ÿฆ I choose primarily God Grown Goods not just because of how they make ME feel, but how me feeling phenomenal makes OTHERS feel. Here me out: โžก๏ธ How we health either can help or hurt people. Itโ€™s true. The health status of our bodies, minds, faith, and relationships impacts everyone we come in contact with. โžก๏ธ We project outside whatโ€™s happening inside. So, eat for how you want to look? Howโ€™s that goal going for ya? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Eat for how you want to treat people. Because love is the most powerful goal Jesus gave us. โœ๏ธ
Putting Jesus At The Center Of Our Health
Health = Available. Not skinny.
Iโ€™m am convinced that Biblical physical wellness has way LESS to do with becoming the skinniest version of ourselvesโ€ฆ โ€ฆand way MORE to do with becoming the most AVAILABLE version of ourselves. Episode 7๏ธโƒฃ1๏ธโƒฃ of the Healtheology Podcast digs into health giving us the capacity to be: ๐ŸฉตAvailable to love ๐ŸฉตAvailable to serve ๐ŸฉตAvailable to show up with energy, patience, strength, and presence for the people God placed in front of us Because when your body constantly feels depleted, inflamed, exhausted, overstimulated, or neglectedโ€ฆ everything feels harder than it needs to. This doesnโ€™t mean we worship health. And it doesnโ€™t mean we obsess over our bodies. ๐Ÿ‘‰ It means we steward them. (steward = taking care of something that isnโ€™t ours) โŒNot for vanity โŒNot to earn approval โŒNot to become โ€œthe fit friendโ€ But for **capacity** Healthy to help. Not skinny to socialize ๐Ÿค Whatโ€™s your opinion on this?
