Pricing Tiers and Other Inquires

Hey everyone — I’m getting started in headlight restoration and trying to dial in my pricing and service structure. I’d really appreciate some insight from those of you with more experience.

How are you all setting up your pricing tiers? For example, do you offer different levels based on products/techniques (basic polish vs UV coating vs ceramic/PPF), and how do you price each tier?

Also curious how you handle warranties — do you adjust warranty length depending on the process or products used?

Is there such a thing as a “lower-tier” service that doesn’t last as long, or is that something you avoid offering altogether? Do any of you intentionally offer shorter-term options for customers on a budget?

A few more specific questions:

Does anyone here use PPF for headlights?
Can PPF be applied over a UV coating, or is it one or the other?
Has anyone used steam restoration methods, and how does the longevity compare to UV sealants or ceramic coatings?

Just trying to learn what’s working in the real world and build a solid, honest service. Appreciate any advice 🤙
