The most important question to ask in sales is “why”.
Most professionals use “what” questions.
“What’s your current provider?”
“What are you paying for that?”
“Whats your process for xyz…?”
While these questions are necessary they only pull up surface level answers.
Experts ask “why”.
Asking “why” digs deeper.
“Why did you chose to go with that provider over others?”
“Why haven’t you looked at other options until now?”
“Why now?”
The answers you get from your “why” questions. Will ultimately win you more deals.
