In late 2023, I was lost, lonely, isolated and depressed. I needed to run away from the stressful life and situation I was in. In the middle of a marriage separation, the loss of a 9 year relationship and everything that comes with that, aged 29 I ran away and gave myself a “Yes Year” What began as a spontaneous road trip across Africa as my first YES of 2024 became the catalyst for everything I do today. Bringing in the New Year in dancing with the locals in Zanzibar to a self-drive safari through the Serengeti, I was searching for myself but I found a mission instead. While volunteering in Moshi, Tanzania, the ACE Approach was born: - Adventure - Community - Education This set the foundation, I went on more adventures, I climbed the highest mountain in Africa, Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in North Africa, Mt Toubkal in Morocco, the highest mountain in Bosnia, Mt Maglic, I travelled to over 20 countries over 4 continents and started building. I got certified in Breathwork, I completed my life coaching certification with none other than Jay Shetty and I grew into a man I am proud of. Fast forward to 2026: I just hosted my first official Adventure Retreat in Tanzania, retracing the very steps that changed my life. We are officially on our way to becoming the world’s largest travel-minded mental fitness community (even with just 113 members) Today I celebrate not giving up when I wanted to, always following the passion and the drive and finding meaning and purpose in life and the end to a 15 year mental health battle that nearly cost me my life... Nice little win today! I managed to finalise a few community classes. Nothing special, but I’m grateful for the small boost it gave me. Hoping it’s useful to at least one person. Sharing knowledge always feels good.
